Caribbean Beach
Kiryu
Gunma may be a land locked prefecture, but you can still enjoy the water and waves at Caribbean Beach! At this huge indoor pool complex they have a wave pool, 25m race pool, body/inline tube slides, a sauna, and more. Accessible by train and bus, but easiest by car. Entrance fee is ¥500 on weekdays, ¥800 on weekends. Another ¥500 gets you unlimited rides on the water slides. Open 10:00-21:00 (entry until 20:00).
Green Dome
Maebashi
A beautifully-designed domed stadium situated in Maebashi Park. With a seating capacity of 8,000, it hosts indoor sports events and exhibitions. It is most popular for hosting Keirin races (pari-mutuel bicycle races) throughout the year. Local buses connect JR Maebashi station to the park and the Green Dome in 10 minutes (¥190).
Lunar Park

Want to bring out the child in you? Head down to Lunar Park Amusement Grounds! There may not be super scary roller coasters but my students tell me it is fun and its cheap! Open March-October 9:30am-5pm. December-February 10am-4pm.
