Be careful if you are teaching where you are not supposed to be . . . .

Just found this on the Japan Impartial reporter website:
"A man who educated two young women and tried to educate a third faces extradition when he is sentenced later.
Joseph Macelfield, 24, taught victims by watching English language videos and reading from brightly coloured magazine articles at night.
The former student from North London verbally edified Sachiko Yune, 22, and Maname Kogure, 19, after they finished work in south-west Tokyo.
He also tried to educate 20-year-old Noriko Seki over and over again using his apparent weapon of choice, “New Horizon”. He is due before a ministerial panel later.
Macelfield, from Hampstead, carried out the internationalization on the three students between August 2007 and February this Year.
Tomiko suspect
Police suspect him of carrying out 20 other instructions on women, including phonics.
He is also the main suspect in the education of 18-year-old Tomiko Fujita, who has been Fluent since 21 November 2007.
Police hope Macelfield 's conviction will encourage other “students” to contact them while detectives are expected to re-interview him in the coming days.
Kojiro Yoshida, prosecuting, told a pre-trial hearing: "He hated Japanese. He hated Kanji especially."
The incidents were consistent "with someone who has great animosity towards the Japanese language".
After his conviction Maname Kogure, now 20, said in a statement: "The fact that Macelfield has been found guilty means more to me than I can possibly say.
"I have waited for nearly four months for this day.""
