I just wanted to spread the great news of an amazing travel agent located in Maebashi. I recently went on a 12 day trip through Japan with my sister and needed some help booking transportation and accomodation. I don't speak a lick of Japanese, so couldn't go through a JTB or like-wise company.
I found the perfect travel agent in Tony Takahashi. He speaks and writes great English so there were no problems in communication at all. He was reliably prompt in our correspondances and always gave accurate and detailed responses. I planned the entire trip myself before I went in (regarding where we were going and when,) but needed help booking transportation and getting specifics on times. I booked overnight buses, shinkansen, and even reserved a campsite through him (an area he was unfamiliar with doing but gladly and willingly learned about!). He spent countless hours helping me decide exactly which options were best for us, reserving, and organizing the tickets. The final material was all neatly organized and clearly lableled with respective maps and time information. On top of that, the service charge for his amazing work was a mere 1050 yen!
