Hey Guys!
I got a letter from the Takasaki International Relations Society announcing the Takasaki International Festival 2008. It sounds dominant, and I plan on going, but am unsure as to how exactly to get there (walkable from station? bus? have to drive?), so any help from Takasaki-ans would be much appreciated.
Here are the DT's:
What: Takasaki International Festival
When: Saturday, June 7th, 2-6pm
Where: "At the former JT Grounds" ; the map on the letter is attached below - help a sister out with more explicit directions, PLEASE!
There will be:
-Performances (South American, Korean, Cheerleaders, Hula Dancers)
-Ethnic Food (Curry Corner, Iranian bread, NZ fruit kebabs, American hotdogs, tacos, bibimbap, dimsims, churrasco & MORE)
-Great Drinks (Imported beers, juice, herb tea, avocado shakes, Chinese tea)
-Snacks (Ice cones, rice crispies, halo halo, inari sushi, mochi, sekihan, scones)
-Culture Corner (Ikebana exhibit & workshop, drink maccha at tea ceremony, washi chigirie artwork
To get there from Takasaki station takes about 10 minutes on foot from the west side. All you do is walk straight towards city hall down what is called Symphony Road and keep going. It's just before Takamatsu Junior High. Hope to see you there!
