Hi, I recently started teaching with a different JTE & while my previous role was doing precisely sweet FA this new guy keeps asking me to plan activities for JHS 1nense. I've asked him whether I should base it on the textbook and what level the kids are at so that I can make my activities appropriate but he's not been very forthcoming with info. In the 1st instance I was given 5 mins to design a game so colour basket it was which was novel for no more than 10 mins since most of the kids learned colours at elementary school. From what I've seen they have good knowledge of some pretty random vocab but know little about grammar etc. I'd like to avoid disasters like this & have a stash of activities. Plus, I'll probably only have 5 more lessons with each class so I'd like to really make an effort now that I've been given the chance. Does anyone have any suggestions? Onegaishimasu!
