If you are finishing with the JET Programme, please be aware that if you are in Japan on January 1, 2009 and are a resident of Japan, you will be expected to pay around 80,000 in Resident's Taxes. This money will not be reimbursed by your BOE/CO because you will no longer be covered by the JET contract.
