Shibukawa Bellybutton Festival

Event Information:

Shibukawa’s claim to fame is that it is exactly in the middle, or the bellybutton, of Japan. To celebrate this, the town holds a festival where participants paint faces on their stomachs and dance around the streets in a parade. There will also be live music and lots of other things to enjoy. The festival will be held on the 25th and 26th of July around the Shibukawa Shin-machi area.
