nagoya anyone?

hi! im headed to nagoya in a few weekends and am trying to figure out the cheapest way to get there. been looking at trains/highway buses and such but not very successful. anyone have any suggestions?

Easy, and pretty simple way is to take your local train to Tokyo, and then take a night bus. Night bus ticket is around 5000 yen each way, discount available if you buy round trip, I believe. There are also day buses, but the trip takes some 6 hours by bus, which is why I recommend the night bus. You will arrive in Nagoya (or Tokyo) between 6 and 6:30 a.m., at the main Nagoya or Tokyo station respectively.

123bus dot net, I think the URL is, has English booking, or you can also buy your ticket at a purchasing area located near the bus depots on the day of your trip, or in advance.
