GUNMA —
Police on Thursday arrested a 17-year-old man for stabbing his 24-year-old work colleague to death in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture. The suspect, who cannot be named because he is a minor, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his colleague Yuji Akaishi, 24, at the victim’s apartment around 1 a.m.

Akaishi was taken to hospital but died soon after arrival. Police found the suspect in the car park of a book shop near the crime scene and arrested him. According to police, the suspect borrowed money from the victim and the two quarreled about it.
