Taiwan Lonely Planet: got it?

I'm traveling to Taiwan in late October and was wondering if anyone's got the Lonely Planet for it. I'd love to borrow it for a month! I've found the trendy books to be really useful and really need to get on top of planning the far too few days I have there.
Let me know, please!

Hey, I don't have the book,

Hey,
I don't have the book, but I did just get back from Taipei on Sunday!
I had a great time and Taipei is a really cool city to hang out in. I have a friend that lives there, and she showed me around, but without her, I would have totally needed a guidebook or something. Many people speak English though.
These were some of my favorite things that I did.
Longshan Temple- Amazing architecture
Shilin Night Market- a huge bustling night market(Giant fried chicken steaks with spicy sauce and stinky tofu are delicious)
Indoor shrimp fishing- you rent a pole, and catch as many shrimp as you can, then you have to grill them yourselves. It didn't sound fun to me, but it was easily the funnest thing that I did there. They also have taiwanese dishes too.
In House- lounge club, a cool hangout, but kind of expensive.
The National Palace Museum- if you are into museums, this holds thousands of ancient chinese artifacts.
Dimsum and Cantonese Duck- check your guidebook for a recommended place. Baked pork buns (叉燒包) were my favorite.

Anyway, enjoy Taiwan!

Derrick

hey, I don`t know who you

hey, I don`t know who you are or anything but I have a copy of the Taiwan Rough Guide, but not Lonely Planet(I went there last Christmas) and I wouldnt mind lending it out. But you would have to come up to Numata where I live because I am lazy. Well, I might be in Maebashi this weekend but not sure. Let me know if it`s something you are interested in.

Thanks for the advice and offerings

Thanks for all your advice Derrick! I was planning on doing a few of those things anyway, so it's nice to have some reassurance, and I'll definitely look into the shrimp fishing thing. That sounds awesome!

Fiona - Crazy... I'm actually planning a trip for the weekend and am currnelty planning on coming to hike and camp in the Oze Marshlands this weekend! So, I'd have to come to Numata Station. Planning on coming in Sunday morning and leaving Monday night. I'll be attempting to hold a float in the Maebashi Matsuri this weekend on Saturday night - so if you do happen to be in Maebashi this Friday or Saturday, maybe we could up then instead. Let me know your plans for the weekend; it'd be great to get that book from yas and some traveling advice! Thanks!
