GAJET will be hosting it's annual Christmas Enkai at Lake Haruna on Friday, December 5th!! It's all inclusive, dinner (plus all you can drink), breakfast, room and transport to/from Takasaki station. Not to mention a great onsen overlooking the lake. I know I say this about everything, but it's a going to be a great time. Here's the skinny: Secret Santa: 1000 yen max gift to be exchanged. I'm totally in.
It'l be my 3rd time going up there. It truly is beautiful. Well, both times i saw it were in the summer. The long and difficult bike ride up there is all worth it in the end when you see just how awe inspiring it is.
BTW, if anyone wants to test drive around Haruna lake, go to your nearest amusement/video game center - find a game called Initial D Arcade stage 4, choose your car, choose "Akina lake" (it's under an alias name) and voila.
Just... The game does nothing to capture how truly nice the lake is.

You know if you answere'd your phone more you'd have gotten a free ride up there a few times... admittedly at night tho :p
as much as I reallly do want to come along my winter clothes box is still "in transit" as the tracking website says and with no further info available i may need every little scrap of munny i can get to buy warm clothes. if it comes before the enkai and there is stil space i'll let you know.
as for wanting a drive to lake haruna... its more fun in real life than in the game... if you haven't been, message me and get to shibs... if i have fuel, then lucky you, if i don't we'll split the bill. I don't need much of an excuse to go up there :3...

It's fun, it's relaxing, it's beautiful, it's the most wonderful time of the year!
Great friends, great food, good drink, wonderful songs (it's karaoke...so, no comments on the singing), relaxing onsen, picturesque location...what more could you want?
It's bound to be a fabulous time had by all!

Given your past performance(s), Jeevy, methinks you may miss the subtleties of ryokan service and opt instead for a group of chairs and set up camp there. ;)
As far as rooms are concerned, it's small group love. 4 to a room...each room providing more than enough space. Quite lovely!
As far as a maid to put out and fluff your futon, I suggest finding a maid costume and a willing participant and you're all set! :D

Christmas Enkai Final Details
HELLO ALL!
Here's the info.
The final list is above. If you're on that list, we will expect to see you on the bus (more than likely.) If you are not present, we will be first saddened and then very worried and then may have to send the dogs to find you. :)

The bus from TAKASAKI STATION EAST EXIT leaves precisely at 7pm!!! BE ON TIME!!! (being late cuts into our eating and drinking time)

.cash (10,500 plus extra for presents, etc.)
.clothing (it's an onsen, but nakedness is only acceptable in the baths)
.toiletries (cleanliness is next to godliness)

.a towel (it's an onsen, a towel is good to have to dry off)
.camera (to capture the holiday debauchery)
.cell phone (to call that special someone and/or Brooke should you need something)
.your holiday spirit (no one likes a Grinch or a Scrooge)
