Obamamania in Japan?

Interesting.
I think it is a logical move for Japan to proceed with caution and I wonder why this article seems to lean on them for it. The news coverage comming out of america would suggest that jesus has come back and everything is going to be fine. The fact that Obama was 'for' the wall street bail-out made me cautious of him too.
I think the 'Obama-mania' around the world has been 'over hyped' and 'over played' for american audiences.
In reality many people in other countries are not pro-Obama as much as they are anti-Bush(Cheney). Many countries are also very aware that there is little difference between democrats and republicans, 'the puppet strings are still pulled by the same people'.

I think it has more to do with Japans 'Japancentric' view of the world. In that view, nothing that happens matters unless it directly affects Japan, and how it affects Japan is the only thing that matters. For example, if it was the worst thing to ever happen to America and the world at large, but benefits Japan, then its ok. I think they might have to tone down the Obama impersonations on TV now too, and they wont be happy about losing that fun time.
Basically I heard people say they liked McCain just because he will 'be nicer to Japan' than Obama and the democrats.
