Dentist Inquiry

Hey everybody,

A couple of questions.

(1) Can anyone recommend a dentist, preferably one that speaks English? I'm way out in Agatsuma but the Maebashi or Takasaki areas are fine with me.

(3) How much are visits to dentists?

(3) I seem to have misplaced the general information workbook but I remember reading something about dental not being covered by the national insurance. Can anyone verify that? I'm not going to see the dentist for an emergency. It's really for the typical check up/cleaning people do in the States every six months or so.

(3) If the cleanup is not covered, do you have an idea of how much it will cost?

There's a good English

There's a good English speaking dentist in Fujioka, about 15 minutes by train from Takasaki. It isn't TOO far from the station, maybe 10 min walk, and easy to find. Appointments are only in Japanese, but you can always get someone to make it for you.

My cleanings/etc. were covered. I got an x-ray so mine was more expensive, don't remember how much. Probably 2000-3000 yen though?

@Lexie, this may be the 21st century, but this IS Japan after all. And I don't remember if they take credit card, but why are you even on that subject when the OP didn't even mention them?
