BE A MOVIE EXTRA!!Submitted by Megs28 on Wed, 2007/06/06 - 14:15.
Hello Gunma, Have you always wanted to be in the movies? Well here's your chance :) The Takasaki Film Commission is looking for about 1000 people to be extras in the film version of the Japanese TV drama "Aibo". The filming will happen in the environs of Takasaki Station on Sunday 15th July, or if that day happens to be rainy, it will be held the following day (Monday public holiday). The scheduled time is between 7:30am and 6pm. It's a volunteer thing, but you'll get a free lunch and some movie promo goods, PLUS of course the chance to get your face on the Japanese big screen... We are looking for as many foreign participants as possible, so if you're interested please email me Meagan, at Takasaki City Hall cir@city.takasaki.gunma.jp or phone 027-321-1201. Cheers! UPDATE
Last minute update on Aibo filming. Looks like there's a typhoon going to cause rain on Sunday, thus filming has been held over until Monday (16th). A registration desk will be set up in front of Takasaki city hall and to be involved, please turn up by 7:45am. Filming involves recreating scenes from the Tokyo Marathon so you can be a runner (wear excercise gear) or a spectator. Everything will happen in the vicinity of city hall. If coming by car you can use the Takamatsu chushajo, next to Takamatsu Jr High. There will be parking attendants directing traffic into the parking lot and if you tell them you're an extra, they'll let you in.
Everyone and anyone is welcome so feel free to just turn up!
