Event Information:

In addition to Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) and White Day (Mar 14th), Koreans celebrate Black Day on April 14th. Singles gather up, wear all black, and head out to the (Koreanized) Chinese restaurant to eat (Koreanized) Chinese black-bean noodles.

Last year, I went out with some single lady-friends to Tokyo's Shin-Okubo, known for its large Korean population. The station and streets were filled with folks dressed in black and eating black bean noodles. I've heard that ideally, a single boy will catch, in mid-slurp, the eyes of a single girl slurping up the same dish, lock eyes and fall in love. I really don't know if that's what's supposed to occur. It's just fun.

you forgot to mention how the sexiest of the single ladies must slurp up the black goodness and look at one another with black shit all around their mouths and ask, "how is it that we are still single?"
